BODY FX Exercise Physiology's mission is to empower everyone to exercise and specifically tailor exercise to the individual's needs. We have a passion for exercise and practice what we preach and also have many clients who have enjoyed the benefits of exercise to bring them to their goals or purely to maintain function and mobility.

Shannon Short

Accredited Exercise Physiologist

My passion is helping people to move freely and enjoy the activities that brings them joy. I have a particular interest in the musculoskeletal area as well as cancer.

This being said I really love helping people exercise, no matter age, level of fitness or ability. I have completed a Graduate Diploma in Exercise Science (Rehabilitation) at CSU which focus' on exercise for individuals with chronic conditions
, previous to this I completed a Bachelor in Human Movement (Exercise Science) also at CSU and worked my way through University as a Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor.

In my spare time, I love to run and my husband and I have two gorgeous boys that keep us active!

Karina Natoli

Accredited Exercise Physiologist

I specialise in exercise for people with cancer. This includes pre- treatment, during treatment and post treatment. However, I enjoy working with a range of complex health conditions including diabetes, heart disease, osteoporosis, mental health conditions and dementia as often people don’t have just ‘one’ health condition and can help you to exercise effectively for your needs and goals.

When I'm not in the clinic I enjoy, s
mashing out an early morning gym class, drinking tea and eating cake at a local cafe or eating cheese and biscuits in the sun, probably with another cup of tea. My interests (other than delicious food....?), field hockey (although I will need a bit more practice before I make the Hockeyroos), gym, cooking & reading. I've also been known to try my hand at knitting.

Madeleine Conyers

Accredited Exercise Physiologist

I completed my Masters of Clinical Exercise Physiology through Charles Sturt University (2018). I have been involved in sport since a young age, competing in triathlons, tennis, water polo and netball, which has given me an insight on the positive impact exercise has on myself, particularly for enhancing mood. Exercise is a great platform for meeting new people and improving your overall sense of well-being and mood state. If I am able to educate clients and instil this way of thinking, I believe I can make a positive impact on their lives! I wanted to become an Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP) to educate clients to make positive changes in their lives, and allow them to reach their full potential and goals, regardless of their situation.
Personally I would like to achieve a greater depth and understanding of clients with mental health issues and depression, as well as working with people who have eating disorders. This is a new area of study that I am very excited about and interested in!  I believe continual development is necessary, and I hope to always challenge myself to better my skills, for the benefit of my clients.
